Hey Jake, I received the call and it was better than what I would have ever expected!! I was on the phone with one of my hunting buddies when I went to the mailbox and got it and I was telling him all about it. As I was talking to him on the phone I opened it took it out and started calling with it while talking with him. Oh my did it ever feel and sound awesome right outta the box. My buddy was like you got to be kidding me. You didn't do anything to it and it sounds that good all ready. It was awesome so easy to blow with little wind and that little whine that I could get out of it at the end of the notes was fantastic. I have been calling since I was a young kid and I could never find that call that could get that whine that I like to finish with on some of the sounds. But yours did and I plan to tell as many people as I can about your calls that are into duck hunting. I was a guide for many years from Canada to Alabama where I live and hunting all over the Midwest. I grew up using duck calls made from wood and haven't found one that has that quality sound of my dad’s that I learned on growing up. As you know everyone just has to have the acrylic calls because they are "the in thing". I've not blown a wooden duck call in years and felt that acrylic calls were just going to replace wood calls. But yours has the qualities I look for in a call. Hopefully we can get some footage of some duck hunts this year and I will make sure to send you whatever I can. I wanted a very special gift for my son's 21st birthday. My son is a keen outdoors guy, into Duck Shooting, so I thought a unique Duck Caller would be a great gift. I spent a lot of time researching and visiting different sites. Then I came across Jake. I loved all of his calls but settled on one that would be a keepsake as well as functional. The "Cupped Wings" Caller with original art by Teddy Lowe. Let me say Jake answered all of my emails (I live in New Zealand) promptly and every single question. He posted it promptly knowing I was on a tight time frame until Sam's birthday. It arrived in plenty of time and I am stunned, wow it is amazing. I am going to recommend Jake and his callers to everyone I know. I hope he gets a following in New Zealand as his calls are very special. I couldn't be more satisfied how well I was taken care of by Jake's Calls. It started with a brief email and a quick response less than a week till Christmas day and ended with a beautiful call right on time. Even with the holiday right on our tails, Jake's calls made me feel like they dropped everything to make my personalized gift happen. While the gift was of my highest priority, it's as if they made it their own. Another aspect that illustrates their dedication to the customer is really putting the final product above "the easy route". It would have been easier to engrave straight from a generic image but instead they encouraged doing the engraving from my sketch I sent them to really put the personalized touch over the edge. If I had gone any other route I wouldn't be as happy with the final product and now it's even more meaningful to me and the man I gave it to of his dog Ruger that passed away. 4 perfect deer calls!!!! I was having a tough time finding a gift for my wedding party and stumbled upon Jakescalls. When I first emailed I was only about 6 weeks before the big day.
